Hello – I hope your week is going well. Madison and Sebastian’s story (Get Over It) is currently in edits and I am strongly hopeful for a February 15th release day. I will post a preorder link as soon as I have one available.
For those of you who read On The Brink, the first part of this story does include from when Madison met Nereus and through his kidnapping, however unlike OTB we can also see Sebastian’s struggle and his mindset while this was going on so I hope you will forgive the overlap in the time lines.
Before I get back to writing, I thought I would share a small snippet from Get Over It – something to make you smile during your working day 🙂
Excerpt (unedited at this time)
“It’s the mating bond,” Madison said, his face bright red, his chest still heaving. “You can’t help it. I can’t help it. It’s just what it is. I’d better go. I’m sorry.”
“You don’t have to.” Sebastian stepped closer. “We both want this. Why not let nature take its course? We’re both adults.”
Madison growled and for the first time, Sebastian saw the light of his wolf flashing in his eyes. It changed Madison’s aura, made him seem stronger and more menacing and Sebastian reminded himself Madison wasn’t human. A strong predator lurked under his mate’s coiffured exterior.
That was even more apparent when Madison spoke. “You don’t get it, do you? You dumb fuck. Claiming is everything to a wolf shifter. Shifters wait their whole lives desperate to meet the other half of their soul. I’m over sixty years old,” Sebastian’s jaw dropped. “Sixty years I’ve been waiting for that one person who’d treat me right, love me in the way I knew I deserved. I kept waiting. Kept hoping and then I scented you and I knew my search was over. Except you just want to get your rocks off. You have no intention of claiming me because your heart belongs to fucking Alexander. I know that because you told me!”
“NO!” Madison stamped his foot. “Just no, all right. I want you, of course, I do. But I don’t want to just go to bed with you. I know the sex will be amazing, it always is between mates. But I want more than that. I want to know what your favorite color is, what music you like to listen to. I want movie nights, dates and the whole fucking shooting match. My wolf yearns for you; he aches to see our mark on your neck. It’s taking all my energy not to shift and bite you and to hell with the consequences. But you’ve already made it plain you don’t want that and I…I can’t…I’m not going to let you keep playing around with me anymore.”
He swirled around and was out the door before Sebastian could blink.
End excerpt– I do love how Madison came across in this book – he is absolutely adorable. You can read more in the full book coming out February 15th (fingers crossed). Thank you and have a great day 🙂
