If any of you follow me on social media you will know I took two days off over the weekend, to celebrate an early Christmas with my children and grandchildren. The sun was hot, I got sunburned, but with a paddle pool in the garden, plenty of food and drinks around and presents from “Secret Santa” we all had a lovely time.
I had to get prepared – this is my tree and see the lovely cards I have been receiving from my readers – thank you 🙂 I got five more on Saturday morning but I didn’t have time to put them up.
After a long play in the garden it was present time. My son Peter was elected to hand them out to the kiddies while his partner Mels, looked on. Every child got two presents each while we adults got one. Ooh, in this photo he was handing one to me. I got an amazing dream catcher complete with wolves on it 🙂 My kids know me so well. (I actually got two presents because I also got a lovely steam-punk wolf statue as well, but then I am Mom, so I guess that was allowed.)
Everyone got something 🙂 This is Thomas, Nicole and baby Mia.
And this is Holly and Alex watching on. My poor dragon statue should never be wearing a pink kitty hat lol.
Later, my kids decided to put up my new bbq for me. I had bought one so they could all fry bacon and eggs for breakfast on Sunday morning before they went home. We seemed to be missing a few screws but it worked brilliantly.
Finally it was time for family photos. The last time all of us got together like this was back in May, so for me that meant the occasion had to be recorded. Here is a photo of my lovely family – this is the grandchildren – all eight of them.
And my children and their significant others. From left that is Peter and Mels, Alex and Holly and then Thomas and Nicole and the little one squeezed in there is Phoenix and the one lurking at the back is Malacai who is in the process of writing his second Demon World story.
And finally, because my daughter says it never happens, she took a selfie of her and I.
