My poor blog space has been so neglected lately, but that doesn’t mean I wasn’t thinking about you all. Now, we need to catch up and I’ll keep it brief, so buckle in and read to the end because I had to include a snippet from Tangling With Bears which is finally finished – Yay!!! For me, that’s the bestest news of all, because that book really put me through the wringer.
Why? Because of my stupid health – been living with the fact that I might have had a stroke for over six weeks and it has been doing my head in…BUT
Other good stuff – yay!!!! – my CT scan came back clear and the ultrasound on my carotids were definitely okay
(The UGH – the medical professionals don’t know why I’m falling all over the place, but I am determined not to worry about it and am just a lot more careful about where and how I walk)
The Inbetween – that’s where we are now peoples. My book is at the beta readers and I start the editing process tomorrow. Watch for a cover release in the next day or so for Tangling with Bears, which will be out next week.
And as promised, here’s a teaser for you – this is M/M/M so for those readers who aren’t comfortable with that, I’m sorry, but my bears come in pairs 🙂
“Did he say something to you while I was in the kitchen?” He (Luke) would try the direct approach and see where that got him. And there, quick as a flash, a look of hurt ran over Tobias’s face before it disappeared. Kurt had said something. He’d upset their sexy wolf. Well, Luke would have something to say about that. He jumped up.
“Luke, where are you going? I thought we were going to talk some more. Don’t you want to hear about the time Jax tried to teach Aelfric to drive?”
“You can tell me later,” Luke said striding towards the door. “That hunk of mine has gone and stuck his fucking foot in it again, and if I know him, he’s sitting out in his wagon trying to work out what to do about it.”
“Sweetheart, maybe you shouldn’t.” Luke turned around to look at Tobias, the man’s voice sounded almost sad, and that, oh boy, that made him even angrier.
Ignoring Tobias’s request, Luke flung open the door again and standing in the doorway he yelled loudly, “Kurt Ogilvy, you get your hairy ass back into this house this minute, do you hear me.”
“I’m on the phone.”
Luke seethed. Their wolf was hurting because of some stupid shit that Kurt said, and he was on the phone? Not for long he wouldn’t be. He ran over to the SUV and wrenched open the door, almost pulling it off its hinges. Sure enough, Kurt had his phone in his hand. Luke grabbed it, threw it to the ground and stomped on it, hard. The phone had no defense, it shattered into tiny pieces, and Luke was distracted by the shiny metal pieces, until he heard Kurt’s voice.
“What’s got into you little bear? Those phones are expensive.”
“I don’t care, I’ll buy you a fucking boxful if you like, but you get your ass in the house right now, or you can sleep out here, all night. You’ve upset our wolf, and I want you to fix it, right now.”
“What did he tell you?” Kurt had his mean face on, but that had never bothered Luke. He knew Kurt would rather cut his arm off than hurt him.
“He didn’t tell me anything, you just did. Now I mean it. Get out of the car, get into that house and whatever you said to Tobias, you fix it. Right now.”
“I…er…I’m not sure that’s a good idea.”
“And why not.” Luke knew he looked good, standing there with his arms crossed, tapping his foot on the gravel. Ouch, that hurt a bit, he should have put shoes on, but Luke had to stay firm. It wasn’t any good having two mates if they didn’t talk to each other.
“Hey guys, I’m going to head off home now, okay? I think you two have a lot to talk about, and yeah, I don’t want to get in the way.” Tobias’s voice came from the porch, and Luke turned and fixed him with a glare as well.
“You’re not going anywhere. You’re going to claim me tonight and last I heard we had to be in the same room to do it.” Two gasps – in stereo. Damn he was getting good at this giving orders lark.
